SvampFarmen is an urban mushroom farm driven by a passion for real food and resilient production. We grow our mushrooms in repurposed shipping containers on 100% certified organic substrate in an environment that gives them exceptional taste, texture and nutritional value with minimum use of water and energy.
Since 2022, with initial support from Vinnova, Svampfarmen has operated an urban production unit in Stockholm, working closely with chefs who value freshness, seasonality, and direct relationships with their producers. Today, we have expanded our work to Malmö, bringing the same approach to a new regional food scene.
Along with High quality gourmet mushrooms, the farm also produces soil from our spent mushroom substrate, which is rich in fungal biomass and organic matter. With support from Region Skånes Miljövårdsfond and in collaboration with Stockholms Koloniträdgårdar and Fritidsodlarnas Riksorganisation, we are developing this material for soil improvement, regeneration, water retention, nutrient additions, plant resilience, and exploring how it can strengthen soil biology and long-term fertility.
